Burundi Revenue Collection Increased 35% in May, Authority Says

June 22 (Bloomberg) -- Revenue collection in Burundi rose 35 percent last month to 38.03 billion francs ($30.6 million), the Burundi Revenue Authority said.

The increase brought total revenue collected in the first five months of 2011 to 207.4 billion francs, up 42 percent from the same period a year earlier, the Bujumbura-based authority said in a statement on its website.
