Liberia Police Find Guns, Ammunition Near Ivory Coast Border

June 17 (Bloomberg) -- Police in Liberia found a cache of arms, including rifles, machine guns and ammunition, near the country’s border with Ivory Coast, according to a statement.

Officers found 1,439 rounds of ammunition for AK-47 rifles, 70 AK-47 magazines, 67 rifles of that type, as well as rocket- propelled grenades and anti-aircraft rockets, police spokesman George Bardue said in the statement.

Police have detained 92 people they described as Ivorian refugees for questioning, the statement said.
