Benin Seizes 405 Kilograms of Cocaine in Cotonou, Police Says

June 9 (Bloomberg) -- Authorities in Benin seized 405 kilograms (893 pounds) of cocaine at the port in the commercial capital of Cotonou, according to local police.

The drug was of Brazilian origin and had passed through Oman and Togo before being intercepted in Benin yesterday, police spokesman Emile Florent Djimasse told reporters in the city today.
