June 8 (Bloomberg) -- The death toll following three blasts in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri rose to 14, with 17 people seriously wounded, Borno state police spokesman Lawal Abdullahi said.

Seven people have been arrested in connection with the explosions that took place yesterday, Abdullahi said by phone from Maiduguri today.
