June 1 (Bloomberg) -- Tests conducted by “competent authorities” in Germany and Spain on cucumber samples showed that the Spanish vegetable is not responsible for the Shiga toxin-producing E.coli outbreak affecting Germany and other European states, the European Commission said in an e-mailed statement today.
