Pan Palladium Plans to Dig Platinum Metals Mine in South Africa

April 6 (Bloomberg) -- Pan Palladium South Africa Ltd. and a proposed company called Volspruit Mining Co. Ltd. plan to dig an open-pit platinum group metals mine in the north of South Africa, which has the world’s largest platinum reserves.

The mine would be located near Mokopane in the Limpopo Province, according to a notice of an environmental study in preparation of the project, published in Johannesburg-based newspaper Business Day today. The notice was published by environmental consultant EScience Associates Ltd.
