Dynegy Inc., (DYN:US) a Houston-based power producer, boosted output at a Northern California natural gas- fired generating plant.
The company’s 754-megawatt Moss Landing Unit 6 was operating at full capacity as of 3:15 p.m. today, the California Independent System Operator said in a report.
The unit had 374.3 megawatts, or 50 percent of capacity, idled for unplanned reasons at the same time yesterday, a previous report showed.
The Moss unit is part of a 1,509-megawatt facility located south of San Francisco in Monterey County.
One megawatt can power about 800 typical U.S. homes.
