Sinopec Gets State Approval to Build $62 Million Ethanol Plant

Jan. 9 (Bloomberg) -- China Petroleum & Chemical Corp., Asia's biggest oil refiner, said its unit and a company based in the central province of Hubei received state approval for a 423 million-yuan ($62 million) ethanol plant.

Sinopec Jingmen Co. and Hubei Jinlongquan Group Co. will jointly construct the 100,000 metric-ton-a-year plant, Sinopec, as China Petroleum is known, said in a statement on its Web site today.
