Dynegy Inc. (DYN:US), a Houston-based power producer, restored some output at a California power generator.
The company’s 337-megawatt Morro Bay Energy Facility Unit 3 had 287 megawatts idled, or 85 percent of capacity, as of 3:15 p.m. local time today, the California Independent System Operator said in a report.
The unit was completely shut yesterday, a previous report showed. The generator, which uses natural gas as fuel, is in the northern part of California.
One megawatt can power 800 typical U.S. homes.
