Turkey will ask investors to submit bids for the nation’s second nuclear generation license in the first quarter of next year, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
The government will decide within two or three weeks whether to give Turkey’s first license to ZAO Atomstroyexport, Russia’s reactor builder, which submitted the only bid on Sept. 24 for a plant in southern Turkey, Erdogan told reporters in Ankara today.
The government previously said it planned to hold a tender for the second license for a plant in Sinop in northern Turkey before the end of this year.
