Dynegy Inc. (DYN:US), a Houston-based power producer, idled more output at a California power generator.
The company's 337-megawatt Morro Bay Energy Facility Unit 3 had 292 megawatts curtailed as of 3:15 p.m. local time today, the California Independent System Operator said in a report on curtailed and non-operational generating units.
Unit 3 had 12 megawatts idled at the same time yesterday, the system operator said in a previous report.
The natural-gas-fired generator is in the northern part of California. One megawatt is enough for 800 typical U.S. homes.
