(Corrects date of comments in second paragraph.)

OAO Uralkali, the potash producer owned by billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, said the price of the nutrient may exceed $750 a ton as soon as the third quarter.

``Prices won't stop at $750 a ton,'' Chief Executive Officer Vladislav Baumgertner said at a conference in Toronto yesterday. A Webcast of his presentation was posted on the company's Web site today. Demand for the nutrient may exceed supply by 1.2 million metric tons by 2012, Baumgertner said. The company plans to boost output to 11 million tons by 2015, he said.
