GTECH, Medstroems Raise Takeover Bid for Boss Media (Update1)

GTECH Corp. and Medstroems AB raised their takeover offer for Boss Media AB, the Swedish maker of software for online games, and the target company's board of directors said it ``unanimously'' supports the bid.

The offer of 25 kronor for each Boss Media share compares with a 19-krona bid made on Feb. 1, according to a statement today. GTECH and Medstroems own 28.6 percent of Boss Media.

Boss Media shares rose as much as 4 kronor, or 19 percent, to 25.9 kronor in Stockholm trading. The shares have gained 65 percent in a year.
