OAO Comstar United Telesystems, a Russian telecommunications company, named Sergey Nazarov as its Vice President for marketing. He is the second executive to move to Comstar from fixed-line operator OAO Center Telecom.
Nazarov was formerly deputy chief executive officer at Center Telecom, Moscow-based Comstar said today in an e-mailed statement. Former Center Telecom CEO Sergei Pridantsev on June 13 became Comstar's chief executive.
Nazarov previously worked for AT&T Inc. (T:US) and Lucent Technologies Inc. in Moscow, Comstar said.
A unit of billionaire Vladimir Yevtushenkov's AFK Sistema, Comstar has more than 3.6 million fixed-line subscribers through OAO Moscow City Telephone, which it controls.
