March 12 (Bloomberg) --Jordi Padilla, director of equities at Atlas Capital in Madrid, comments goals set by the European Union for 2020 for efficiency and the use of renewable sources to meet energy needs.
Padilla spoke in Spanish in an interview today.
``It would have been better for companies like Abengoa, Sniace or Ebro Puleva if fixed quotas had been set for production of energy from biofuels.
``In Spain the plan seems to be to stick to combined cycle gas plants and wind power, the government's existing bet.''
