Galliford Try Plc, a U.K. construction company, and homebuilder Crest Nicholson Plc have been selected for a contract to build 700 homes in Epsom, southern England.
Galliford and Crest will redevelop the 54 hectare (133 acre) Epsom Cluster hospital site, a former center for psychiatric care, and renovate existing buildings into apartments, Uxbridge, England-based Galliford said in a Regulatory News Service statement today. The U.K. government's regeneration agency English Partnerships awarded the order.
The site will also include a hotel, conference center and offices, the statement said. Work will begin this year and be completed in 2011.
