Michael T. Devlin

Rational Software Corp.
President

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and Stanford University with degrees in engineering and computer science. Devlin co-founded Rational in 1980 with current Chairman and CEO Paul D. Levy. The company merged with Verdix Corp. in 1994 and acquired Pure Atria Corp. in 1997. Rational makes tools for software development

EXPECTED TO TESTIFY:
As a witness for Microsoft, Devlin is expected to bolster the company's contention that having Internet technology built into Windows benefits software developers, who can use the technology in their products without having to reinvent -- or distribute -- it themselves. Rational's development tools make extensive use of the Internet standards supported in Windows.
