The first 10 days of Operation Odyssey Dawn, the multinational effort to stop Libyan strongman Muammar Qaddafi from attacking rebels, cost U.S. taxpayers at least $550 million, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Here's a rundown of the cost of launching Tomahawk cruise missiles from ships and submarines in the Mediterranean Sea, and bombing Libya's air defense system, tanks, and weapons depots.
