"Harvesting Green Power" (Special Report, Nov. 13, 2006)

"Harvesting green power" (Special Report, Nov. 13) incorrectly stated that credits equal to the emission of 100 metric tons of carbon were recently selling for $4.25. Credits equal to one metric ton of carbon were selling for $4.25. So a farm that sequestered 1,500 metric tons of carbon would collect nearly $6,400 in return.

"Don't Wait Till April" (Personal Finance, Dec. 4, 2006)

"Don't wait till April" (Personal Finance, Dec. 4) incorrectly said that contributions to 529 plans are deductible from federal taxes. Contributions are not deductible, but withdrawals used to pay for education expenses are exempt from federal taxes.
