Home-field advantage isn't just a term reserved for football Home-field advantage isn't just a term reserved for football teams on cold November Sundays. I constantly hear from golfers, especially business travelers, who tell me they never seem to play their best golf away from home. When they step onto a golf course for the first time, the unfamiliarity with that course wreaks havoc with their nerves.


How many times have you grabbed your driver and hit a great tee shot only to find that the ball ran through the fairway into a bunker? Next time, use the 3-wood. Or worse, you hit a great shot onto a green only to watch the ball roll down a slope you didn't see. Next time, hit short of the green.
