Today, just like Thursday, is a wretched time to be trying to fly in the Northeast. Nearly 1,700 flights have been scrubbed today, due to the heavy snow and winds, Bloomberg reports. Here’s a shot of the soupy, snowy, slippery, slushy mess that is currently midtown Manhattan. Delta, Continental and United have extended their travel waiver policies through Sunday for a dozen Northeastern states and Washington D.C. With luck, the snow will stop soon and planes will get to where they need to be by Sunday, the start of the business travel week for many.
