All Nippon's 'Personal' Touch

Posted by: Justin Bachman on March 10

Talk about getting creative to drum up business. My colleague Kenji Hall, in Tokyo, has this great blog post today about All Nippon, the top airline in Japan, asking its 32,000 employees to give friends and family a “hard sell” to buy a ticket. The goal is to generate $160 in new revenue per employee. The carrier’s fiscal year ends March 31, so this push could help buttress results, you see. Let us hope that ANA’s cash-strapped U.S. peers don’t take a liking to this idea.
