The world's biggest producer of motherboards for PCs, Asustek is looking to jazz up its image. The company has teamed up with Italian race car specialist Lamborghini to create a new line of notebook PCs, featuring the Lamborghini logo, black and gold colors, and other special features. Other nifty designs include a laptop encased in leather and a small computer that uses Microsoft's new Origami operating system. But revenues are falling because new environmental regulations in Europe due to take effect in July have forced Asustek and rivals to slash prices in order to dump inventory that won't be up to code.
