Telefonos de Mexico

Telefonos de Mexico (Telmex) is the dominant fixed-line telecom provider in Mexico, with 15.7 million fixed-line, 2.3 million data-transmission, and 1.4 million Internet customers. The acquisitions helped hike revenues 18.8%, to $12.3 billion, still shy of the $14 billion in 2001 revenues. The company showed a 29.3% return on equity and shares were up 14.9% in the 12 months ended May 31.
