MGM Mirage Bids for Mandalay Resort Group
MAF Bancorp agrees to acquire Chesterfield Financial, and more deal news

MGM Mirage (MGG ) offered to buy rival Mandalay Resort Group (MBG ) for $68 a share, or $4.85 billion, plus the assumption of $2.8 billion in debt. (6/07)


MAF Bancorp (MAFB ) agreed to buy Chesterfield Financial (CFSL ) for $31.50 in cash and stock per share. (6/07)

RC2 Corp. agreed to buy First Years (KIDD ) for $18.60 per share. (6/07)

Maxwell Shoe (MAXS ) rejects Jones Apparel Group's (JNY ) sweetened $22.50 per share bid. (6/07)

Netherlands-based satellite operator New Skies Satellites (NSK ) agreed to be acquired for $956 million by private investment firm Blackstone Group. (6/07)

A group of buyout firms led by Bain Capital is close to a deal to acquire Loews Cineplex Entertainment in a transaction valued at about $1.4 billion to $1.5 billion, according to executives close to the situation, reports the Wall Street Journal. (6/07)

General Mills (GIS ) stock was seen higher on rumors that Nestle (NSRGY ) is mulling a possible bid for the company. (6/04)

Wayne Bancorp (WNNB ) agreed to be acquired by National City (NCC ) for $28.50 cash per share. (6/04)
