TREASURY MARKET WATCH Treasuries Higher The market traded slightly higher in reaction to a jump in jobless claims INFORMA: Treasuries saw decent flows early on, but trade faded quickly. A solid bid surfaced, helped by the fall in the Monster job ad survey and the jump in jobless claims. These reports (the latter linked to seasonal factors) followed a soft Hudson jobs index Wednesday. Flow was dominated by curve trades, with the front end leading. The curve re-steepened sharply as profitable flatteners came off. Retail, including CBs, were outright buyers of 2-year treasuries. Flows died at about noon, with prices locked in a tight range as players await Friday's jobs report for direction.
