Bye Bye Old Tools

Posted by: Karyn McCormack on January 25, 2007

First, the bad news. Last week, we had to take down a few of our nifty investing tools — namely our Stock Screeners and Portfolio tracker — because our contract with provider Telescan (which is owned by InvesTools) expired. If you have portfolios on our site, I urge you to click here and download your information by Jan. 31. After that date, I’m told that your information will not be retrievable. I realize this is a big inconvenience for our loyal readers.

The good news is, we plan to launch even better new tools this year. As we get closer to the date, I’ll fill you in.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for Stock Screeners, one of my favorite bloggers Charles Kirk offers a long list of ones to try. The one that’s closest to what we had offered is from Telescan, but there are plenty of other good ones.
