A former architect at Gehry Partners, Mitchell Joachim works in ecological design and urbanism. He runs Terreform ONE, a New York-based non-profit design group which promotes green design in cities and which brings together experts from myriad different fields to consider the challenges of sustainability within the built world.
How exactly do you plan to change the world?
Make THE plan. That’s what architects and urban designers do. We plan on the future and its utmost reification. I’ve produced a schematic for physically moving all of the worlds major cities to the poles within 150 years.
