I’d like to point out what looks to be an interesting show for auto fans or anyone interested in energy issues.
I called up the show’s producer, Jean Marc St. Pierre, to ask him why they chose the topic and what we might hope to learn from the program…
Jean was in Montreal, where the show is produced by Productions Maj, and he talked about the program through a thick French-Canadian accent.
Here's a few of his choice words from our conversation:
"If we could change all the engines in America to diesel, and I'm including Canada and Mexico in that, it would be good for the market. It's much more economic and would do a large part in decreasing gas in the atmosphere."
"The worst energy we have is gasoline. Diesel, biodiesel, etc... All the alternatives are more green than what we have now."
"We're here to say 'things exist,' not to say 'go buy this tomorrow.' We just show people what the alternative is. We educate."
--If you miss the show tonight, catch the encore performance on the Discovery Channel on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7:00 and 11:00 pm est.
