A Letter to Nintendo

Posted by: Damian Joseph on April 24, 2009

Dear Nintendo,

It’s hard to believe you’ve been with us this long. I can’t believe the Gameboy turned 20 this week. You guys have come a long way with this new DSi and all its fancy features.

And now you can just download games on a whim? I remember getting The Legend of Zelda for my 7th birthday, busting open the box and pulling out that shiny gold cartridge. Who would of thought all those years ago you'd be firing shots at the company who provided our school computers? Apple probably isn't thinking about the competition, though, it had its own celebration this week.

And hey, I have to give you props for the new Wii remote attachment you announced last week. Just a little bit more precision was all I needed. The few enemies that escaped my trusty sword are bound to fall. And now, I can give the blade a little twist.

I just read about this guy who turned a Wii remote into a spray paint can to make virtual graffiti with! I'd get cracking on this idea if I were you. Getting fined for tagging public property is really taking a bite out of my game budget. Have you got any other ideas for Wii controllers?

Let's meet up soon. I know, I know--the new advertising campaign says you prefer to talk online. But Fox McCloud always brings the best looking people to our parties.

Talk to you soon,
Damian Joseph.
