You may have noticed my recent radio silence. I’ve just returned from a camping trip in Santa Cruz. A highlight: I watched my young friend Devan, five, work her way through 16 pieces of watermelon. It took her about 45 minutes of dedicated chewing and seed-spitting.
After days of checking email obsessively, blogging, writing, talking, and checking email some more, it’s not so easy to devote hours to watching a child eat a watermelon. A smart challenge, though. I return brimming with new ideas. More soon. Cheers.
