Proctor & Gamble Has Great Profits-- Read About How A.G.Lafely Makes Innovation Happen.

Posted by: Bruce Nussbaum on January 31, 2008

Roger Martin, dean of the Rotman School of Management in Toronto, has a great book out called The Opposable Mind in which he talks about how successful CEOs have integrative thinking—they can hold two ideas in their heads and instead of being driven nuts, they become even more creative. One of Roger’s chapters is on A.G Lafely and how he runs P&G.

P&G posted a big 14% gain in profits in the latest quarter, so this insight into why the leadership of the company generates so many gains is a good lesson for all of us.

We are running a Special Section on The Opposable Mind on the Innovation & Design site. Check it out.

why is it that I cannot find my favorite product DAWN POWER DISSOLVER on supermarket shelves? I finally had to join ACE HARDWARE and order a case to be shipped to a store and then go to pick it up. Isn't it sold in supermarkets anymore?
