You gotta be kidding me. The voice work is high-school quality, and a 2001 theme? Puh-leeze.

David,
Sorry, but I just love it for what it is. And I hear it is tbwa chiat day that did the creative work (and does the incredible iPod ads as well).

Yep, pure apple all the way. Simple, elegant, undeniable.

What a brand story.

I agree Steve, Although i wouldn't choose the word "Hot" to describe them.
There is so much sophisticated technology and confusing information out there and TBWA have managed to keep it simple and clear making it easy for people to actually understand the value of the product, not by attaching an emotional response artificially, but by illuminating simple features.

Come on Bruce, stop scanning the web for iphone porn. Don't get caught up in the hype, its a nice phone. But technology behind Japan, ITs a nice add.... but only when you compare to other US advertising which is awful. Try watching some UK adverts, (but don't watch French ones)

Ben,
For me, the real question remains whether or not the iPhone will be able to do email/texting effortlessly, the way it will probably do music and search. When I tried it a while back, there were problems. I didn't quite know where to put my thumbs or fingers on the screen. Promises were made to change the software to make email easy. Let's see.

If I am not mistaken that is not an ad created or sanctioned by Apple.. it is a parody/tribute piece. BoingBoing pointed this out a few days ago. All iPhone ads have been posted to Apple's site: the "Hello" piece that ran duing the superbowl and now the four ads showing the up-close experience. Video on the web can be made by anyone. It's funny, but not pro by any stretch of the imagination.

I love it as well. Very few companies can compete with the acquisitiveness their great emotional and user-friendly products creates.
