Poll Results Are In--Are Designers The Enemies of Design.

Posted by: Bruce Nussbaum on April 3, 2007

Check out David Armano’s poll of what people (designers mostly) thought of my provocative speech at Parsons—Are Designers The Enemy of Design.

David’s poll shows 35% of the folks agree, 4% disagree and 49 agree with some aspects of the article.

I’m pleased with these results. My goal was to provoke discussion about major issues facing designers these days and challenge assumptions about sustainability, open sourcing, and social media. Since I was speaking in front of a group of design manager majors, I used the language of their community.

But make no mistake about that language. I’ve covered finance, economics, international business, foreign policy—as well as design. And it is to designers who follow a calling as much as a career, that I give my heart and my loyalty.
