Earth Day In Times Square, New York.

Posted by: Bruce Nussbaum on April 20, 2007

If you are in New York City on Saturday, get down to Times Square and check out the 185 banners by artists, designers, illustrators and other creative folks to celebrate Earth Day. The Urban Forest Project set this up.

My favorite banner is by Rodrigo Corral. We did a piece on Urban Forest a while back on the Innovation & Design site.

I know there’s been a lot of controversy surrounding No Impact Man. But motivation is often mixed and the point being made at the blog is right on—we who live in cities need to do more to create a sustainable planet. And we can do more.

I just talked with Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson who came in to chat about trade, China’s currency and regulation (yes, fun stuff). But I know Paulson as an amazing birder and conservationist who has single-handedly saved an incredible bird, the harpy eagle, while fighting to set aside vast pieces of habitat around the world. He is a Big Impact Man, in a good way.

What a terrific project, Bruce! And great designs! Thanks for sharing a little bit of the Big City on your blog. I like NoImpactMan, too.

The business loans are useful for guys, which want to start their career. In fact, that's very comfortable to get a sba loan.
