Oh my, I’ve talked to and heard from a bunch of folks who were at TED and heard Philippe Starck’s talk and the consensus is that I overstated and misinterpreted his Designer As God comments as they were described on another blog. I’ve posted the comments that came in here. Another two came from people who said they thought I had it right but Stack’s accent and rambling commentary made them unsure.

But right now, I’m apologizing to Philippe. Probably not a good idea to take slices of a talk off a blog of a speech.

We’ll see when the Starck video comes out on TED Talks.

It may remain to be seen whether Phillipe believes himself (or any other designer) a god but it certainly seems likely that he considers himself powerful. I'm still trying to decide whether claiming "I killed Design" via the murder of elitism is a form of elevation (vis a vis canonization), vindication, or nihilism...

does Starck consider himself to be design's journeyman, evangelist, savior... or is he just a designer with a keen eye on the markets (cue the applause lights).

Some time before, I needed to buy a building for my firm but I did not have enough money and couldn't order anything. Thank goodness my fellow proposed to take the loan from trustworthy creditors. Thence, I acted that and used to be happy with my consolidation loan.
