It’s been buzzing around for weeks, creating laughter everywhere—the MS version of iPod packaging put out by the MS packaging group itself. I don’t quite know where it leaked but the video parody poped up on the iPod Observer blog recently. Microsoft confirmed it came from within.
Kudos to Microsoft to be able to laugh at its design and innovation shortcomings. Always the first step toward making a better product or service. Now that we’ve all howled at their tendency to clutter, we should expect Microsoft’s next packaging to be much simpler and clearer, right?
