It makes a political junkie’s heart swell with pride when the day’s best/craziest attack involves his hometown’s Congressman.
Democrat Linda Stender is running against the incumbent Republican Craig Ferguson in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District—which includes Warren Township, the town that I occasionally admit to having grown up in. Said seat is viewed as a prime Democratic pick-up opportunity, and, accordingly, non-local groups’ dollars are flowing in.
The truly genius thing about the below is how it makes it look like Stender apparently is the sole reason why the cheery singers were taxed, ever.
Actually, the bouncing-ball thing is genius, too, as is the way the word “property” is compressed into one syllable. Poetic license! (Hat tip: Ken Wheaton, Ad Age’s features editor and Campaign Trail blogger.)
