Media Diet, Election '08

Posted by: Jon Fine on October 2, 2008

(Because some people have asked.)

Directions: Go to sites in no particular order. Follow any interesting link, especially to those of non-national newspapers and off-the-beaten-track bloggers. Rinse and repeat several times a day, especially since by the time you’ve checked the last of them, the first on the list has probably updated their site. Pause occasionally to eat or sleep. When struck with the realization you’ve shirked all other responsibilities, remind yourself that this will all be over shortly after Election Day. (Unless, of course … )

Note: this does not include standard arbiters of the daily political narrative: New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal,, etc., though they’re key slices of this food pyramid as well.

The media world continues to shapeshift as new forms arise and old assumptions erode. On this blog, Bloomberg Businessweek will provide sharp analysis and timely reports on the transformation of this constantly changing terrain.
