I’m on vacation until just after Christmas. While I’m away, posting frequency will range from very light to nonexistent.
Enjoy your holidays!
Happy holidays to you as well Jon. Here's to an exciting 2008 for new media and marketing.

re your media article of 12/31/07: your ignorance is bested only by your pomposity. 'hyperventilating ' from activists (the 'left', of course), mere grumbling from business. yes indeed, clear channel sold some tv stations; and who bought them? more right wingers. try understanding the wisdom of our founders who clearly saw and stated the importance of the media in dispensing news and comment vs. (that's versus) the in-place power of the day. murdoch, cnn, abc etc are word puppets for an insane right wing power structure. your idiotic defense of this based on purely economics ignores the far more necessary impact divergent voices have on preserving what IS america. your sorely blinded argument leads to corporate fascism. some parts of our life must have rules to stifle power; this is one of the most important. a. r.
The media, entertainment and marketing worlds continue to shapeshift on a near-daily basis, as new forms arise and old assumptions erode. Where is it all going? No one really knows. But on this blog BusinessWeek’s media writers Tom Lowry and Ron Grover promise to provide ample helpings of scoop, provocation, and sharp analysis as they track and annotate this constantly changing terrain.
