The Columbia (Md.) based supplier of IT systems to the hospitality industry counts the following among its fans: Wendy's, Burger King, and the Trump Taj Mahal Casino & Resorts. MICROS offers integrated software and hardware solutions, such as e7, a point-of-sale system, that manages everything from menus to guest checks. In the quarter ending Mar. 31, MICROS's revenues jumped 11.6% to $171 million, and net income before stock-option expensing charges grew 25.5% to $17.8 million. The company is on the hunt for new ways to provide cutting-edge solutions to its customers. On May 18, MICROS teamed with VeriFone Holdings (PAY) to provide restaurants with a secure pay-at-the-table system.
