USANA Health Sciences
Myron W. Wentz PhD founded USANA Health Sciences Inc. in 1992 and has been the chief executive officer and chairman of the board since its inception. Wentz founded Gull Laboratories Inc., a developer and manufacturer of medical diagnostic test kits and the former parent of Usana. Wentz served as chairman of Gull from 1974 until 1998. Until 1992, Wentz was president of Gull Laboratories. He developed the IFA products currently being manufactured and marketed by Gull Laboratories.
In 1998, Wentz founded Sanoviv, SA de C.V. ("Sanoviv"), a health and wellness center located near Rosarito, Mexico. From 1969 to 1973, Wentz served as director of microbiology for Methodist Medical Center, Proctor Community Hospital, and Pekin Memorial Hospital, all of which are located in Peoria, Ill. He has been a director of USANA Health Sciences since 1992 and is chairman of its executive committee. He served as a director of Gull Laboratories since 1974.
Wentz received a PhD in microbiology, with a specialty in immunology from the University of Utah, an MS degree in microbiology from the University Of North Dakota and a BS degree in biology from North Central College.
