Moira Herbst and I just published our investigative piece on abuses of work visas and workers in BW. What do you think should be done to address these problems?

Stop all H1B, Transfer Visas and new green cards until the USA national unemployment rate is below 6%. Make it very difficult to extend any work visas again until the unemloyment rate is below 6%. Only issues work permits / work visas in the exact number of work permits a country issues to Americans at American wages. Demand "proof of medical" issurance every three months. Demand cash deposit by employeer in an escrow account to cover expenses for work visa term and the return flight.

The U.S. and the rest of the world must wake up and understand that not all countries are the same. We are importing vast criminal classes from the 3rd world who are coming to America with the view to take over the country and keep Americans out of the workforce. Until we understand and recognize the motivations of the people we are importing, this problem is never going to get any better.

Interesting post from another forum thread:

India New Visa Laws Restrict Foreign Workers

India??s new employment visa laws restrict foreign visa workers inside India. Highlights No employment visas for jobs with a large number of qualified Indians are available. All foreign professionals living in India on business visas to leave the country by October 31 Clearly, India understands the adverse impact of foreign work visas has on its citizens. Why can??t the United States do the same? Tell your elected official to Pass S887. NOW, before one more American is displaced by H-1B and L-1 visa workers. Allow American citizens to compete for jobs in our own country. The job you save may be your own http://tinyurl.com/yzt77mk

The move is expected to impact the 70,000-odd expatriates, both skilled and unskilled, working in India in sectors as diverse as software, retail and marketing...
