What's next in Indian IT services market?I.e what would you do differently in the services market?
I feel services 1.0 is not 'the' thing these days and this will not make indian companies in to the big leagues like IBM or Accenture,we have to move to the next level.
My Question:
What can Indian IT services companies offer more?What can indian companies do things differently?
Outsourcing has been the major driver of the Indian IT industry. With growing resentment to jobs being offshored and currency fluctuations impacting margins, it is no longer a volumes game. Where is the next big leap? Is the industry ready for adopting green standards ? If so, what steps are being taken ?
Dear Sir, shouldn't the government develop Industries that are non IT in nature and reduce this lop sided growth in Bangalore/Karnataka? IT Industry can only absorb so many people. Yet it takes up a lot of resources and DOES create a social imbalances due to the vast salary gaps between IT and non IT Employees. The State Economy's fortunes are overtly dependent on the IT Industry's fortunes which is not healthy for any Society. Karnataka has absolutely no other Industry worth mentioning. Shouldn't the state focus on promoting other Industries such as Manufacturing, Automobile, etc and ensure a more balanced growth in the State/City?
Why is Indian companies not able to innovate as rapid as US companies despite handling huge projects and vast experience in IT

Anyway, here's my question for Premji:
When will Indian outsourcing companies like WiPro stop discriminating against Americans and displacing them on projects where the U.S. citizens are forced into training WiPro consultants and then fired?
