Worm Alert!

There’s a worm that’s been wreaking havoc with gamers’ PCs, and it’s giving Nintendo a bad name. The Romario-A worm spreads offering a free game download of Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. Anyone who clicks to see the purported game (“Hi There, Do You Like Mario Bross? Test it, and you’ll like it;]!”) will have his/her email account hijacked. The worm will generate and disseminate similar messages to others listed in the person’s address book. That some hacker would try to prey on unsuspecting Nintendo fans just goes to show the company’s Wii living-room console and DS portable gaming console are household names.
