Electives executive MBAs can choose from
Three. Beginning in 1997, students will be offered the choice of three courses in Module 10 of the program. The course ranked highest will become the required course for all students in the program. The remaining two courses will be offered as electives; students may choose to attend either course.

New content/structure in curriculum over last two years
Business Strategy Seminar was introduced in the 1995-96 EMBA program. Held during the final intensive week of the program, the seminar brings in prominent business leaders to speak to the class about their companies' strategies. In 1997, the seminar also included a field trip to a manufacturing site. During the 1997-98 program, electives will be incorporated into the curriculum.
Special trips and/or foreign projects offered
Mandatory international seminars are included in all programs.
New Orleans program: Previous seminars have been held in Paris, Budapest, Brussels, and Mexico City.
Taiwan program: For every class, two intensive seminars are held in New Orleans coupled with an international seminar. The previous international excursions have been held in Mexico City.
Santiago program: Two-week international seminars will be held in New Orleans.

Ecuador EMBA (Guayaquil, Ecuador); partnered with Escuela Superior Politecnica Del Litoral (ESPOL); Tulane to award Master of Management degree and ESPOL to award MBA degree; program scheduled to begin in February, 1998.
Long-distance executive MBA program via videoconferencing or the Internet
None. Internet access is provided to all students. Some work is done utilizing the Internet in the information systems course.
Programs offered for spouses of executive MBA candidates
Spouses are encouraged to attend the orientation to learn more about the program and its demands on the students. Spouses are also invited to participate in all social activities for students and to join the class for meals during class days.

Additional fees for study tours or residencies
New Orleans program: Students responsible for accommodations, if required, while attending class in New Orleans. Discounted housing package is available through the EMBA office. Students are also responsible for some meals during the international seminar.

Taiwan program: Students are required to complete an executive program in Taiwan at an affiliated university. The cost of the program in Taiwan is not included in the program cost. Airfare to New Orleans for the spring intensive seminars is not included in the program cost. Students are also responsible for some meals during the international seminar.
