Online Advertising Bonanza
With the popularity of the Internet surging, experts are scrambling to revise their estimates of online advertising spending. In one of the latest moves, Salomon Smith Barney analyst Lanny Baker bumped up his estimates because more people are going online than he originally projected. The bottom line: He now expects Internet advertising to hit $4.3 billion this year and to rise to $16 billion in 2003.
