Just how big is the World Wide Web? About 3.6 million sites big, with a total of nearly 300 million pages, according to OCLC Research. Of those, 2.2 million sites are publicly accessible, an additional 1 million sites are still under construction or have no meaningful content, and 400,000 are private and require users to pay a fee or obtain authorization.
