Giving It Away Online
People are starting to spend money online, but not many are using the Internet to give away money yet. A new survey by the Mellman Group for CMS Interactive says the Internet remains an untapped vehicle for philanthropy.

Percent of "socially involved" U.S. Internet users who have:
Visited the site of a public interest group 44%
E-mailed a public official 33%
Received e-mail from a public interest group 22%
Made a donation online 7%
