Japan Gets the E-Commerce Bug When it comes to electronic commerce, Japan has lagged far behind the U.S. But it's starting to catch up. In the next three years, E-commerce is expected to grow into a $130 billion business, making up 1% of all domestic commercial transactions. In the 2004-2009 period, it is expected to reach about $460 billion, emerging as the main form of commercial transaction.
